Pictures From My Cycle Tour Of Cumbria Featuring The North Pennines And Lake District

Welcome to this page on my site featuring a collection of pictures from my successful cycle tour of Cumbria based mainly on The Lake District and North Pennines. Many regular visitors of my site Pictures From My Cycle Tour Of Swaledale And The North Pennines may wonder why the first 4 pictures are very familiar. Firstly they are important linking villages located on Routes 68 and 71 of The National Cycle Network and secondly they are after all within the Cumbria boundary so it would be a shame not to include them. This is my first cycle tour of the Lake District since the 1980s and the pictures in the order of 7 to 33 are mostly based on the Northern Lakes Area. Also the pictures in the order of 34 to 37 are pictures of The Historic Town of Cockermouth and West Cumbria's  Solway Coast.  This particular cycle route is also part of the popular coast to coast route 71 C2C Sunderland To Workington. I hope to in future do some more tours of this beautiful part of North West England but in the meantime hope you find the time to enjoy these pictures as this page stands now.
