Photographs From My Cycling Tours During The 1980s

Welcome to this part of my site, featuring a collection of old analogue pictures taken from the days of when I used to cycle tour. As you can see in the sixteenth picture, they where taken using my old Hanimex pocket instant camera, which I bought in 1985, the same year I took up cycle touring.

Bamburgh. Situated on The Northumberland Coast. Taken on a Easter weekend cycle tour in 1989.

The City Of Durham. Situated in North East England on The River Tyne and taken in the summer of 1987, on a weekend cycle tour.

Langdon Beck. Situated in the High Durham Pennines, in Teesdale. Taken while on a weekend cycle tour in 1989.

Alston. England's highest market town, situated in The North East Of Cumbria, and taken while on a cycle tour in 1987.

Lake Windermere. Situated in The Lake District, in the county of Cumbria. Taken while on a weekend cycle tour in 1986.

Kettlewell. Situated in The Yorkshire Dales, and taken on a days cycle ride, not far from home in 1985.

Helmsley. Market town, situated on The North York Moors near Sutton Bank. Taken while on a days cycle ride in 1985.

Staithes. Lovely fishing village, situated 10 miles North of Whitby on The North Yorkshire Coast, and taken on a weekend cycle tour in 1987.

Flamborough Head. Situated on The East Yorkshire Coast. This is looking towards its spectacular chalk cliffs and Light House and was taken in 1989.

Beverley. Historic Market and tourist town, situated in East Yorkshire, near The City Of Hull and was taken on a cycle tour in 1997.

The Humber Bridge. England's Longest Span. This is in the viewing car park and was taken in 1987, on a ride back from Lincoln

Lincoln. Historic City and also the Capital Of Lincolnshire. Taken on one of my memorable long cycle tours, in the summer of 1987.

Castleton. Situated in The Derbyshire Peak District, in The Hope Valley. Taken on Easter weekend cycle tour in 1990.

Castle Acre. Pictuesque Norfolk Village, with its ancient priory ruins. Taken during a cycle tour, in the summer of 1990

Aldeburge. Popular tourist seaside resort, on The Suffolk Coast, in The South East of England. Taken while on a cycle tour in 1990.

This is the camara, I used for taking these old pictures for this album. It is a Hanimex Auto Grip-110F.
